I’m Kati — the artist behind wildroots art studio.
I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t making something.
Creating has always been how I move through the world. Sometimes that looks like painting or sewing, other times it’s drawing, building, or just following a small spark of curiosity to see where it leads. Wildroots art studio grew from that instinct, the desire to work with my hands and stay curious.
Much of my work begins with watercolor, sometimes layered with thread and stitched details. I’m drawn to texture and the quiet rhythm of process, letting pieces unfold in their own time. Occasionally, a painting takes a different direction than I expected, and I’ll take it apart and rework it into something new. Leaving room for that kind of evolution feels essential, allowing the piece to become what it was meant to be.
Over time, in true Kati fashion, wildroots has expanded into other creative forms, but at its core, it is about creating with care and intention. The studio is my home for creativity, a space where curiosity, quiet joy, and groundedness meet.
I live in Colorado with my two amazing kids, surrounded by mountains and wild places that keep me endlessly inspired.
